I would definitely appreciate being in such a sharp, sophisticated place right now. Everything symmetrical and clean, bright white with subtle floral wallpaper and slickly finished wooden floors. I think I'd rather be in a place like this than in the midst of all of the frills of luxury. Ordered and beautiful.

I've only just discovered your blog; I followed a link from the Veere Grenney Associates website, which, in turn, I found through a link from Habitually Chic. It certainly has a surprise "ending" - but I very much wish that this were not the end, and that you would update us again with your family's progress on the bungalow project. The place looked like it had a lot of charming potential underneath the grime, and I'm sure with your excellent taste you could bring out the very best in it. You must have been busy indeed over the intervening two and a half years - but please, please let us know how things have been going! You could probably write, not just a blog entry, but a book...
